VINTAGE MEDICINE CABINET

These authentic wooden medicine cabinets are hand crafted by the Dogon people in West Africa. The Dogon tribe is renowned for their complex religious beliefs and their love of decoration. This cabinet is uniquely hand carved out of one piece of wood displaying ancestral nommos or animal figures on all sides. These cabinets were used by the healer of the tribe to keep spices, herbs and all sorts of medicinal products. These one of a kind statement pieces would sit beautifully within a modern aesthetic and can also be used to store jewellery or special objects,
