MASK BOBO CROCODILE

This striking wooden crocodile mask was hand carved and painted by the skilled Bobo artisans of Burkina Faso. This unique mask is carved out of a single piece of wood with an intricate geometric design and painted in black and white or reddy brown black and white. Traditionally they are worn on top of their heads during dance ceremonies and represent the water spirit, guarantor of fertility and prosperity.
